After 3 years of a growing readership, OS21 wishes to create a more energetic forum for local information and debate, to help invigorate the town and improve democracy and transparency.
Whilst the supermarket issue dominated the period 2008-11, OS21 now intends through this improved website to concentrate on its core aim of enhancing Oswestry’s border market town for its residents, users and visitors. People in and around Oswestry are making things happen all the time – events are being put on and projects started. Oswestry21.com is a place where you can read about them, contact the people behind the stories, give your opinion and get involved.
There are huge economic and environmental challenges in the world today, which will impact on Oswestry. The new OS21 website will attempt to cover some of these issues.
Many new contributors have agreed to write regular or occasional pieces to help achieve wide coverage of all aspects of life in the town including local news and politics, culture and tourism. Meanwhile, the editorial team and principal authors on this website are: Andrew Tullo, Saffron Rainey, Jessie Miller, Chas Nicholson, Valentine Davis, Mark Evans.
